Symbols in the "B" column show how courses count in meeting the breadth requirement for L&S BA/BS degrees: H=Humanities, L=Literature. Counts toward the Humanities requirement.

Symbols in the the "L" column show course level. Sixty credits of advanced and intermediate level courses are required for the L&S BA/BS degrees. E=Elementary, I=Intermediate, A=Advanced, D=Intermediate or Advanced.

Symbols in the "C" column are: C=Courses outside L&S which count for degree credit in L&S and which count as part of the 100 credits in L&S, T=Courses outside L&S which count for degree credit in L&S and which count as part of the 20 credits outside of L&S, (blank)=Courses outside L&S which have neither a C nor a T in column "C" do not count toward an L&S degree.  For L&S Undergrads: Note that of the 120 credits required for graduation, 100 credits must be earned in L&S courses; 20 credits may be earned in acceptable courses outside of L&S.
